| Project X Presents 'Kicked' Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 |
The unimaginable has happened.
A 10-year old girl has disappeared after getting off the bus on her way home from school.
KICKED, by Michael Healey, is the story of a cop and his personal journey in the investigation of the missing girl.
The case leads him to the girl’s school bus driver – fascinated by the potential in children, and desperate to protect them from the unspeakable; a stuttering shoe salesman, an adult with some very childlike viewpoints; and an ER doctor with a big ego.
All 4 characters are played by local actor Adrian Mancini, who has previously appeared in Orchestrated, The Soldier Dreams, and The Laramie Project.
Directed by Derek Rein (The Glass Menagerie, The Soldier Dreams, The Laramie Project), KICKED will run from Wednesday, January 30 to Saturday, February 2 at the Old Courthouse arts centre, 1st Ave & Seymour Street. This one-act, hour-long presentation will have TWO performances per evening, at 8pm & 9:30pm.
Tickets are $12, or $10 for students and seniors, available at the door, or in advance from cast & crew.
Do not miss your chance to catch this haunting, moving story about childhood, about believing in your potential, and about listening to the voice in your head.
