In just under one month’s time, the City of Kamloops, Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops Symphony and Western Canada Theatre will proudly present their new joint fundraising endeavour, The Mayor’s Gala for the Arts.

On November 2, 2007, join Kamloops’ three premiere arts organizations, and Mayor Terry Lake as they celebrate the arts in our region. The evening will include a fabulous dinner, fine wine, and a varied entertainment showcase. Also in the course of the evening, Mayor Lake will present the first annual Mayor’s Award for the Arts in this year’s category: Excellence in Volunteer Leadership.

The Mayor’s Gala for the Arts is destined to become one of our city’s most prestigious evenings of the year as well as an important fundraising event supporting the performances, exhibitions and educational programmes brought to you by your own professional arts organizations. The Mayor’s Gala for the Arts will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Colombo Lodge and catered by The Coast Canadian Inn.
