Sun Peaks, BC (June 23, 2010) – Excitement is building for the first day of downhill mountain biking and alpine hiking at Sun Peaks Resort, as the Sunburst Chairlift starts turning at 10:00am this Saturday, June 26.

From steep and technical downhill runs to berm loaded machine-made trails…the options are endless, but when it comes to single track, no other park does it better. Dozens of kilometres of flowing single track trails loaded with natural and man-made features await riders of all abilities. With no lift lines and 70 kilometres of terrain to cover, grab your bike and spend the weekend discovering the Bike Park!

For those looking for a less extreme outdoor adventure, with the opening of the Sunburst Chairlift means access to 30 kilometres of hiking trails, ranging from flat and easy strolls, to advanced hikes up to the Top of the World.
