WINTER ADVENTURE in Kamloops

Hows your day going

With our varied terrain, dry light snow and sunny skies, Kamloops is the ultimate destination for winter activities. We’re home to Sun Peaks Resort, Canada’s third-largest ski resort, renowned for its three distinct mountains offering more than 115 runs — from long rolling cruisers to steep, powder-filled runs. If you prefer Nordic skiing, try out the many groomed trails for classic and skate skiing, or make your own tracks in the backcountry.

Beyond skiing and snowboarding, there are countless opportunities to explore Kamloops' winter wonderland. There is terrain for all levels of snowmobile riders, with the season often extending from mid-November until late in April. Outdoor skating, tobogganing, winter sleigh rides, dogsledding, and ice fishing at some of the hundreds of lakes that surround Kamloops are also popular winter activities.

Come celebrate winter in style at our many festivals and events that take place throughout the season.

Many surrounding lodges are winterized, which makes a great white wonderland getaway for the family or friends. Enjoy the fresh cold air and glistening snow!
