The Intermontane Challenge has been postponed until the summer of 2009.
Route and trail development evaluations show the trails won't be to the level established for the race in August 2008. There will be a weekend preview race in 2008 tentatively set for September. We appreciate your interest in the Intermontane Challenge and look forward to seeing you for our preview race in 2008 and inaugural race in 2009.
Coming July 2009 the Intermontaine Challenge is a seven day race. Total distance is approximately 625kms of over 40,000 feet of climbing. Summit the 3 highest peaks in the Kamloops area! One stage is an exhilerating 4,000 foot descent through open terrain. Over $60,000 in prizes to be won!
The Intermontaine will be offering a unique race by having 2 separate races within a race. We will have teams of 2 riders and solo racers competing. This will encourage the elite racer to leave a team set up and race on their own. By doing this, it makes the team division that much more competative. There are solo events held world wide but not in conjunction with a team event.
