BIG Little Science Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia
The BIG Little Science Centre operates out of George Hilliard Elementary School. It is dedicated to developing a passion for science among youth. Started in February 2000 by Gordon R. Gore, this retired science teacher has dedicated his life to teaching science in an interactive environment. With over 120 hands-on stations, visitors can experiment on their own or see demonstrations.

2012 Saturday Activities at the BIG Little Science Centre (start at 1:30pm):
Saturday May 5: Air Pressure Fun
Saturday May 12: Mining Day in Kamloops for families to understand how geology affects their lives. Co-hosted by Kamloops Exploration Group and Canadian Institute of Mining (South Central BC Branch), and held at the BIG Little Science Centre. Free entry to the BIG Little Science Centre for rock displays and interactive exhibits, with representatives from Thompson Nicola Paleontological Society, Highland Valley Copper, the Kamloops Museum and Archives, Atlas Drilling and many more. The Thompson Rivers University School of Trades and Technology will set up a heavy equipment simulator for people to try out.
