Museums in Kamloops

Kamloops Wharf circa 1890

Spend a relaxing afternoon at one of our incredible and unique museums. Kamloops is rich in history right from the days when glaciers covered this whole region, the affairs between the wild west cowboys and First Nations people, European settlement, and industrial development.

Kamloops Museum and Archives
Three floors of permanent and traveling exhibits created by museum professionals make this museum one of the best cultural attractions in Kamloops. Come with a group for a guided tour or explore yourself and see what Kamloops is all about. You’ll find clothing, communication equipment, industrial and agricultural artifacts, fur trading and gold rush, and First nations information. You’ll also see a fabulous geology display and Kamloops’ very first automobile. There are lots of hands-on opportunities for children and families, too. Admission is by recommended donation, so the Kamloops Museum is enjoyable and affordable learning entertainment. Click here for more information.

Secwepemc Museum
Visit the original 2000-year old summer village of the First Nations people and learn about the heritage through an incredible array of artifacts, displays, and stories!
