ARTS and CULTURE in Kamloops, British Columbia

One of BC’s Most Vibrant Art Communities

Kamloops has a thriving cultural scene — encompassing theatre, music and the visual arts. Music lovers will want to head down to Riverside Park in July and August; free concerts are held each night featuring local, national, and international artists from a variety of genres. Jig to an Irish beat, let jazz music calm you after a long day, or sing along to your favourite country tunes.

Toe-tapping, hands-clapping Two River Junction Dinner Theatre show

Dinner Theatre

Dinner theatre is a great evening out in Kamloops. Kamloops is home to the Great Canadian Lumberjack Show and Two River Junction show. Both are comical and entertaining, designed to enhance the vibrant history of Kamloops. It’s a toe-tapping, hand-clapping good time!

Kamloops Symphony
The Kamloops Symphony is the premiere music organization serving the Kamloops region. Live orchestral music performances each month from September to May include the music of composers from around the world in a range of styles from baroque through classical to contemporary. Programmes feature a superb variety of instrumental and vocal guest artists.

Music in the Mountains

Each summer the Kamloops Symphony and other renown classical artists join together at Sun Peaks Resort for Music in the Mountains. This event features fantastic music plus the wonderful dining in the mountains. A great way to spend a relaxing weekend! For more information on this event, stay tuned to the Tourism Kamloops calender of events or visit the Sun Peaks Resort website directly or call them at 250-578-5474.
